Chapter I
From the first moment, the first word exchanged, I felt no comfort.
He complimented my coat and the smell coming out of the basket. And the ears flattened in peace were not able to hide the ferocity of his hunger.

The relief of being able to leave overshadowed any feelings of pain and regret, but...
... my new cape, which I have barely taken pleasure in using more lovingly, and my basket are left behind. Soon they... It's not okay, but at least, on the outside, I'm whole.
